We are deeply grateful to receive the award for the creation of our exhibition. Visibles MMXXII“...exhibited at the Maison des Initiatives Étudiantes in Paris from April 20 to May 4, 2022. The exhibition was very well received by the general public. Feedback on both the event itself and the photographs was overwhelmingly positive.
It involved women photographers currently living in conflict zones such as Afghanistan, Palestine, Mali, Chad, Yemen, Venezuela, Syria, Guinea, Myanmar, and Ukraine.
The main goal was to showcase their growing contribution to the world of photography and media, and to make their work visible—even in the most challenging circumstances.
We are also grateful to Kit Asso for sponsoring our exhibition.
The Exhibition Visibles MMXXII It aimed to highlight that being a woman photographer in a male-dominated professional world is already a challenge. But doing so in the midst of a national crisis that endangers one’s own life and the lives of loved ones requires immense strength and resilience.
This is why we felt a strong sense of commitment to organize this powerful exhibition: these women deserve to be seen through their extraordinary work; they deserve to tell their stories and to be heard, so that the world understands what they are going through — and so that they, too, can feel inspired in the process.
In the end, the opening of this exhibition was a great success. We welcomed a large number of visitors who came to share their appreciation and love, as well as their support and admiration for the photographic works on display. However, there is still much to be done.
We are currently in discussions with other venues, eager to bring the exhibition to more cities across France. At the same time, we are working to connect with more photographers and associations in order to expand our portfolio and give more women the opportunity to showcase their work.
We also welcome the initiatives and partnerships with organizations such as Maison des Initiatives Étudiantes (MIE), the Paris City Hall, and Jardiniers Culturels, aiming for effective implementation and outstanding results.
